Hello, I've been searching for this and I couldn't find anything about what I'm looking for. I was wondering if Google has a tutorial on searching from MySQL database with the user's location.
For instance, if I have a database of items and a user wants to locate a nearby store that carry those items, they can input their location in another text field box. Or another example is what http://www.yelp.com does. Where users input a restaurant and then the user inputs their location, the results will pop up with nearby restaurants with the location the user inputs. I'd greatly appreciate if someone can direct me to a tutorial that I can learn from for this kind of feature. I'm really new to php and javascript.
