I would like to generate a map image with an aspect ratio for a
specific lat/long rectangular area defined but 2 lat/long pairs. For
the application I would like to develop, I need to know the pixels/
degrees for the latitude and longitude.

A pair of markers get me the shape but I don't the width of the
margins. Is the way to determine the margin sizes in degrees and
pixels?

Is there a way to use zoom and center=lat/long and determine lat/long
of 2 opposite sides of the rectangular?

Or is there a "area=lat1,long1,lat2,long2" parameter? If not, it
shouldn't be difficult to add. It is essentially a "center=lat,long"
where the zoom level is determined by the bounds of the
""area=lat1,long1,lat2,long2".
