"Its Urgent!!!!!" That's not our problem, that's yours! http://ju.mp/smartq
But anyway, on to your questions. "I'm planning to develop a desktop and mobile application for track vehicles" sound like fleet tracking or management. It's against the terms of the Free API to do tracking http://code.google.com/apis/maps/terms.html#section_10_2 You may be able to do tracking with a premier licence but I wouldn't know http://www.google.com/enterprise/earthmaps/maps.html 1. Depends what language you know, I can do C#.net & VB.net, but wouldn't have a clue about Java. 2. As answer to Q1, but also depends on your mobile device. 3. The API is JavaScript, as it's entended to be for web applications, I believe (from other posts) the way to get it into a desktop application is to use a browser control, but I've not done any desktop apps for a long time, all web based. Event then it will need access to the internet to download the API & the map tiles. But as it's a new project, and mobile, it's best to use V3 of the API as V2 (which this group is for) is depricated and will be turned off at some point.
