Thanks Rossko i turned on https to see if it would make a difference, and was only for testing, I've since updated url.
Do you have any idea what is causing the issue i originally asked about? This started AFTER the api update release on Nov 15. As stated previously i've used a work-around by using a slightly older release, but i don't think that i should need to do this..
