Hi all,

I've had a website running for a few years using the Maps v2 API and a
Key generated from the Maps signup page at
http://code.google.com/apis/maps/signup.html.
I've found it started to fail to load the maps API with the old "This
web site needs a different Google Maps API key. A new key can be
generated at http://code.google.com/apis/maps/signup.html."; message.

I went there and re-generated keys for my app (http://
www.premierrange.co.uk and https://www.premierrange.co.uk), put them
into my config, and still got the error.

Reading
http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/javascript/v2/introduction.html#Obtaining_Key
reveals that I should do this:

""
To create your API key, visit the APIs Console at
https://code.google.com/apis/console
and log in with your Google Account.

Click the Services link from the left-hand menu, then activate the
Google Maps API v2 service.

Once the service has been activated, your API key is available from
the API Access page, in the Simple API Access section. Maps API
applications use the Key for browser apps.
""

I've done that, and now have two keys, one provided by the Maps API
signup page, and one provided by the API Access console.

I've tried both keys in the maps URL and neither work. Could someone
please confirm which we're supposed to use?

I will update to the v3 API at some point but simply don't have time
right now, I need to keep the old v2 API code running.

Confused :S
Nick
