Hello,

I'd like to know if it is possible to use the api with an existing map.
Together with a small team of volunteers I am working on mapping vacant
offices and there are so many of them that our map is getting cluttered.
Please check out the map
here<https://maps.google.nl/maps/ms?msid=210084850032598454625.0004bb08d0c10f1defdff&msa=0&ll=53.111339,6.090031&spn=0.084597,0.264187>.

I have tried downloading the KML-file and uploading it to a Fusion Table
but didn't have any succes. Somehow the KML-file does not include the
markers on the map. What I want to achieve is cluster the markers when a
user is zoomed out and give users to possibility to filter markers. Right
now we use 4 categories: green markers for buildings that are back in use,
yellow for projects the city is working on, red for empty buildings and an
exlamationmark for a bad situation. What I do not want is to use for the
api to make new entries. We are looking for more volunteers and therefore
we want to keep adding new markers as simple as possible with the drag and
drop method.

Is it possible to import the map into the api and have it recognize the
different symbols used? If so, please give me some pointers. Thanks for
reading.
