Cathy, this group is for an old version of the JavaScript API (Application
Programming Interface) that developers use to build websites using Google
Maps. That has no direct connection to the Google Maps application on
Android.

So your guess is right: just because someone is a web developer using the
Maps API, it doesn't mean they will have any particular knowledge or
insight about an Android application, any more than any other Android user.

In any case, I don't think the current version of the Android Maps app does
this - at least I haven't found a way either. It certainly would be nice if
it did!
