Hi. I've followed this guide :-
http://stiern.com/tutorials/adding-custom-google-maps-to-your-website/#google_api Basically, ive got a map going - & when I click on it, it SHOULD display a poop-up with the location details. However - i need a API Key. (ot produces an error when i click it - No valid API key GOAL: (see below).. I've been to the APIS console, & got my JSON file, & my "key" - However nothing works. it assumes the person that us doing the HTML - knows what they're up to.. Is there a dummies guide - Step by Step, to tell me what i need to get & WHERE/HOW to put the thing once i've got it :) I think I've got the 'key' in the right place - however the console screen doesn't have any examples of where to put it. https://code.google.com/apis/console/ Has anyone got a sample code, to show me exactly how to put the 'key' in. & what do I do with the JSON file ? PS :- My goal is to let the user move the map to a place & the lat/longitude appears in a FORM box below the map (not on the map itself). I'll use the form box to add/edit a database with Lat/long codes. I found a good example a few years ago of what i wanted, but Google have changed the site a lot, & i can't find that example/demo page -- Gordon.
