1. this group is for the Google Maps API v2, which is deprecated, the group for the current version, Google Maps API v3 is: https://groups.google.com/group/google-maps-js-api-v3 2. technical support for that version of the API has been moved to StackOverflow, see this post in the v3 group: https://groups.google.com/group/google-maps-js-api-v3/browse_frm/thread/329a52030f2ab396# 3. the resolution of the Google Maps satellite tiles will vary with location, I see some places with a scale of 20 feet.
