Hey Cryrivers, I've had a similiar issue, but found it only occurred when I use trackpad gestures/scroll wheel (same event). I've set 'scrollwheel' as false in the map config (http:// code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/v3/reference.html#MapOptions). Not really a solution, but double click zoom may be another option, not that I've tried it.
