I'm sure the Android emulator is a genuine Android browser. The emulator runs a true Android firmware - there's forums out that which detail how you can use other firmwares on the emulator or 'rip' the emulator firmware and flash it to your Andoid device. That wouldn't be possible unless the emulator is running a true Android OS?
