is there a way to restrict a certain "type" or marker? I have called it a ghost because once it is there - and can be moved or moused over, all activity actually occurs with the "real" marker.
for example, - if I mouse over the "ghost," the info window opens on the real marker and contains the real marker's info. - if I click on a club's marker, the directions path goes to the real marker - moving the ghost marker does not cause a path recalculation but moving the real marker does - etc. I threw in some alerts to make sure which method was being called to make the marker. Only 1 seems to be created - HOWEVER, I do (sometimes) see that I start with the actual page http://www.tennispensacola.com/clubs/maptest.htm and then open the popup (Float a Larger Map link) - and THEN reload the http://www.tennispensacola.com/clubs/maptest.htm page, I so (sometimes) see the floated page also being reloaded (at least, it does create the marker again).
