I have been struggling with this problem for a while and I now I have some more questions. I might be in the wrong group since this looks like an Android problem but here goes.
Using the navigator.geolocation.getCurrentPosition() on all the Androids that I have tested, most of the time I get the GPS coords from the cell tower not the phone. If I clear the cache and the "show my location" permissions, I sometimes get the correct coords but the second hit goes right back to the cell tower. Today I tried using the the navigator.geolocation.watchPosition( ) function and the results where surprising. The first hit to the page and this function returns the coords of the cell tower. Since this function checks the GPS coords every second or two, each additional hit is spot on. The page will follow the road just like it should. I have tested Iphone and Ipad and they seem to work just fine. This sure looks like an Android bug to me but I have no idea how to report it. Here is my site if you want to test for yourself. The phone GPS coords should show as a bulls eye. Select "show properties near you" and then "show map" www.rcsfind.mobi Here is the test page that follows your position. www.rcsfind.mobi/pages/search3.php Thanks. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps JavaScript API v3" group.
