That's why I hinted two times at the fact that the image has to be linear in order that these calculation may work. The thread starter didn't mention on which image the calculations shall be done, that's why I pointed out one way that could work under certain circumstances. He or she never said that he or she will use a google maps map (or map in general) for the calculations.
