We're facing two issues when adding Google Maps v3 to a web apps on the
Playbook.

1) The GM Javascript interferes with the PlayBooks's events system. Things
like onExit, onBackground, etc. will stop working.
Events are documented here:
http://www.blackberry.com/developers/docs/webworks/api/blackberry.app.event.html
This has been reported to the BlackBerry Development team, but is there a
way to prevent this from happening on the GM side of things?

2) Panning is extremely sluggish. As if all translations were not hardware
accelerated. The difference is striking when compared to Bing Maps on the
same device.
Is there a way to override some functions to make sure hardware acceleration
kicks in or is it as good as it gets on a mobile device using only
Javascript?
