Please also note this issue, which is very likely to be related or even
part of the actual problem.

Next to your map and streetview divs of your particular test project, put
some loose text.
See how the text seems to get either smoothed or antialiased once the map
is loaded?

This seems to be applied to the entire document, as soon as you implement a
map and/or streetview element in your page.

This is how the navigation in my personal page looks as it was intended,
without any map pages embedded:

<http://www.jaspergoes.com/gm_images/no_aa.png>

This however, is the absolute exact same navigation bar, on any page that
has an embedded map and/or streetview element.

<http://www.jaspergoes.com/gm_images/has_aa.png>
Notice that very subtle difference?

Quite sure this example is a little bit more obvious:

With some form of aa (and google map):

<http://www.jaspergoes.com/gm_images/has_aa_2.png>

No aa, as intended, no google map in view;

<http://www.jaspergoes.com/gm_images/no_aa2.png>

Hope this proves the point; Check for yourselves.
