Hello, I apologize if this is in the wrong group, but I gotta start somewhere. :)
Is there currently available or has there been any consideration for an online plug-in architecture for Picasa Web Albums?? For example, it would be great if it was possible to add 1 or more tabs either on the Picasa Web Albums main page (Right next to My Photos, Favorites & Explore) or on album pages (To the RIght of Download, Prints and Edit) that could connect to my custom applications (maybe via an iframe or something similar) that utilize the images and data stored on Picasa Web Albums? Applications might be, Build a flyer, Custom Slideshow, Subscribe to a users's photo stream, email the actual photos to a friend, etc, etc, etc. The reason I ask is that there are many functions on the Picasa Web Albums site that work wonderfully, such as reordering the images within an album. In the interest of saving time on the application development side, It would be great If I could utilize the functions of Picasa Web Albums that already exist while providing a cohesive user interface for my customer. Having to go back and forth between PWA and my application is not the greatest situation for my end users. I dunno... Is this something that is possible via the Google App engine or another Google service? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
