Suddenly I'm noticing that user ids have all changed.... when I fetch
data for myself (PicasaWeb user "jfriedl"), the data that comes back
refers to me via my G+ numeric ID, with no reference in the data to
what the original ID is.
This kills my application, which maintains a mapping of photos locally
with their location at PicasaWeb, because now when the user has to
reauthenticate, I don't even know whether they're connecting to the
same account. (Many users of my app have multiple PicasaWeb accounts,
such as husband and wife).

Was this announced somewhere and I missed it? Is there any way to
revert, or at least find out what the old ID was? Years and years and
years worth of accumulated work is now just lost. I'm pretty
bewildered, though users will be livid. I hope I'm simply mistaken.

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
