I tried this, and everything worked... by now:

Uncheck these options (first is the key one):
Hide name tags in my *public albums* by default.
Hide name tags in my *Limited albums* by default.
I think this Settings screen is not easy to find. To get it, view one photo
(from the web interface), and then in the right side down the screen
search: *Photo reuse*, click edit and then Set account default:

under the buttons.
