Hello,

there is a new problem with searching images by tag. This is not the
problem of incomplete result sets discussed in several old threads. This
new problem occurs when using the API, but can also be observed in RSS
feeds. The problem was not there until at least early October.

Example:

I (USERNAME) have an album (ALBUMID) with ten pictures. Five of them are
tagged as 'test'.

https://picasaweb.google.com/data/feed/base/user/USERNAME/albumid/ALBUMID?alt=rss&kind=photo&hl=de

correctly gives a feed with 10 picture.

https://picasaweb.google.com/data/feed/base/user/USERNAME/albumid/ALBUMID?alt=rss&kind=photo&hl=de&tag=test

however returns a feed with 988 pictures. Most of these pictures come from
other albums and don't carry the tag "test".

This behaviour is only visible when I am logged in. Otherwise the first
example still returns 10, while the second example returns 0. This is why
unfortunately I cannot provide a reproducible example here.

Is there any chance that this problem gets adressed any time soon? Do
Picasa Web Albums and the API have a future at all? I see that everything
is moving towards Google+.

Thank you
Daniel
