I, too, have at least a dozen customer websites designed with large Google 
Picasa galleries embedded using the Picasa Webalbum PWI javascript code 
found here:
https://code.google.com/archive/p/pwi/

The images this loads seem to be working fine, and bringing up images with 
URLs like this:
http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/xxx/xxx/xxx/xxx/xxx/imagefolderpathandimage.jpg

So, I'm imagining this will continue to work as it does now?
