I have been distributing both images and videoes in Picasa Web albums for many years, both public and for restricted use. Much of my contents are geotagged and tagged in different ways to be searchable and many of the images are transfered to Panoramio and placed on Google Earth, Google Maps and on external aps. Many albums shows spesific geografic areas such as images from the "rural" Gran Canary at: https://picasaweb.google.com/100286579617032778379/GranCanariaRuralImages?authuser=0&feat=directlink
When I open this album inside Google Photo all such information are missing. All my albums are free for anyone to use, and albums like this have a large number of followers. I found an album like this, without any geographic location for the images to be a move in a bad direction. So my question and my wish for the future of images made public online, still must be with the geotagging content, giving the viewers the same ability to find where the image is taken as to day in the Picasa album. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Picasa Web Albums API" group.
