My own approach is: a) to go through the issue list and 'star' those which I experience and/or think are important to my use of the API. You get an email when the status changes or there are further comments made;
b) to setup a Gmail filter and label for email from ' [email protected]'. I have taken to the acronym 'GAPS' for the label name - that seems quite apt; >From what I've picked up in email evidence, Google do have regular 'releases' of bug-fixes and new-things-they-thought-of. I've not located any release-notes which correspond with the fixing of the bugs, but I haven't looked real hard yet. I would encourage you to get some clarity on your question regarding the #post URL, by filing an issue against it. If you don't file, it won't get resolved. If you file, it might. That would be better than writing extra code. The best way to file an issue is noted here: http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/apps-apis/thread?tid=15fa2f52a6434c93&hl=en ... if you just create an issue with the 'new issue' button, it sits in the top level 'Apps API Issues' bucket, and doesn't get flagged as a Spreadsheets-API matter.
