This is why I ask: "Important: Versions 1 and 2 of the Google Spreadsheets API have been officially deprecated as of April 20, 2012 and will be shut down on October 20, 2012. Migration to v3 should be simple, as it includes all the features of v1 and v2, thus you only need to stop specifying v1 or v2 with your requests. We recommend that you update your apps to send requests to v3 as soon as possible."
