Hi punters, I had to laugh at the ad on https://developers.google.com/ entitled "We should connect more often".
Yeah, like maybe replying to a few emails on the mailing list each month. Or fixing a bug this year. Google must be really scared of Microsoft's new cloud-based office product. Myself and all my clients which I'd signed up to Google Apps are all receiving a barrage of emails taking us on a tour of our "new" Google Apps acquisition (and there's no opt-out-button I can see). Microsoft have put together a pretty decent first offering - it even includes APIs! Bit of a shame that Google didn't use the last 6 years to consolidate its head-start by - oh, say - getting traction and buy-in from a large and satisfied developer community. They deserve everything that's coming to them. Good luck on your Google projects - heaven knows you'll need it. cheers, David.
