Ok, I'm sorry but I'm totally lost!

I'm using a spreadsheet (old version of sheets, with 4 worksheets,
published to the web) as a source of data. I need to use jQuery (or
JavaScript) to display the contents of AN INDIVIDUAL CELL on my website,
and I need to do this several times on the same page using different cells
of the same spreadsheet, but it is NOT simply an embedded table. I need it
to be dynamic date that changes if/when the data in the Google Spreadsheet
is changed and re-published. I need to repeat this process on different
pages, but the cells called and the locations they will display will always
be the same -- the only thing that will change is the source spreadsheet.

For example:

Web Page 1 uses Web Page 2 uses
                                            Web Page 3 uses
Spreadsheet A, Tab 1, Cells A2, C2, E2 Spreadsheet A, Tab 1,
Cells A2, C2, E2 Spreadsheet A, Tab 1, Cells A2, C2, E2
Spreadsheet A, Tab 2, Cells X1, Y2, Z3 Spreadsheet A, Tab 3,
Cells J7, K6, L5 Spreadsheet A, Tab 4, Cells M1, N2, O3

Web Page 4 uses Web Page 5 uses
                                            Web Page 6 uses
Spreadsheet B, Tab 1, Cells A2, C2, E2 Spreadsheet B, Tab 1,
Cells A2, C2, E2 Spreadsheet B, Tab 1, Cells A2, C2, E2
Spreadsheet B, Tab 2, Cells X1, Y2, Z3 Spreadsheet B, Tab
3, Cells J7, K6, L5 Spreadsheet B, Tab 4, Cells M1, N2, O3

So Web Pages 1, 2, and 3 ALL use the same spreadsheet so can share a
"source"...they just call different cells on different tabs of the same
file.

Web Pages 1 & 4, Web Pages 2 & 5, and Web Pages 3 & 6 each use the SAME
CELLS but from different source spreadsheets.

Do you see what I'm going for? I want to make a template that can be used
as a Web Page 1, 4, 7, 10, etc where all I have to change is the URL of the
source spreadsheet. Same with Web Page 2, 5, 8, 11, etc, and Web Page 3,
6, 9, 12, etc. Each "set" simply changes the URL of the source data but is
otherwise identical.

I'm not sure if I'm explaining this in a way that makes sense. At the very
least, I really need to know how I can pull the contents of AN INDIVIDUAL
CELL in a published Google Spreadsheet (old version) and display it using
jQuery or JavaScript inside a DIV or other container on my website.

Please help!
