Old sheets: poor API documentation, don't-know-don't-care attitude to devs New sheets: poor API documentation, don't-know-don't-care attitude to devs
The fact that in their 'list of differences' at the URL you mentioned, they can just say: - *APIs* — You may notice some subtle differences in API behavior. ... and feel that they've communicated something useful, just underscores the lack of respect for users of the API. Did you know that at the end of 2011, Google closed a whole raft of reported issues (many of them in the order of a year old) with the status 'Obsolete' and the comment 'This is something that we will fix in a future version of the API.' They would not, at the time, commit to stating when the revised API would be available. The fact that no future API has been forthcoming in the 3 years hence does suggest that the promise to fix things in a new API was actually just a cynical joke, and there has never actually been any real intention to deliver a better experience for developers (a.k.a schmuks) in respect of Spreadsheet integration. It's a shame when Larry Page went on a 'cull all the deadwood' campaign a couple of years back, he passed over the Apps API team. But to answer your question, yeah, it's most likely a problem with the API that only exhibits with the new sheets, and not a problem with your code. But you didn't mention what errors you are getting? cheers, David.
