I'm not sure if the subject makes sense - I am not sure how to name the
problem. I have a set of data from an extensive Google Form. One of the
questions is a "select all that apply," yielding, per respondent, a single
cell that has a number of answers.
For example, the question is "How do you want to communicate," with option
of phone, email, skype, other. One cell in the responses sheet has: "Phone,
Email" and another has "Phone, Skype".
I want to do a countif function from these lists, to know how many times
across all the respondents "phone" "email" "skype" or "google hangouts"
EACH was answered. The answers are in one sheet, and my data tracking in
another. So in this other sheet, the current formula i am using is this: =
countif('Form Responses 1'!AH:AH,"Phone") but that isn't turning up any
results from any list with multiple answers in it like "phone, email".
Please help!
