Hi Barry,

The Sheets API should be able to access the same spreadsheets you can 
access via Google Drive, regardless of who owns them. As long as you have 
at least read access on the spreadsheet you should be able to fetch it's 
data via the API. Please make sure you are using the same Google account in 
both the Drive UI and the API.
