| Sree || We are not involved in bomb blasts! Explanation by Sanatan Sanstha and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti
Dear Readers, There was a bomb blast at Gadkari Rangayatan in Thane on 4.6.2008. The anti-terrorist squad has initiated an inquiry for the same. They have detained a few people in this regard. The media has given publicity to quite a few incidences in this regard and continues to do so. The name of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has also been included in this news. Thus, HJS is giving below a clarification. The HJS conducts Hindutva-related campaigns abiding by the legal framework. The HJS has strongly condemned the blasts that occurred at Gadkari Rangayatan before and does so once again. The police interrogated the HJS� volunteers in this regard, to which the HJS has extended full support. The police detained me and some other volunteers in this regard and later released us. Since the past few years, the HJS is instrumental in protecting Hindutva and the interests of Hindus. This includes activities such as opposing forceful collection of donations for public celebrations, sound pollution, inappropriate and unrighteous programs, etc. and encourages activities that safeguard the interest of the Nation and Dharma. The HJS also provides religious education. The HJS spreads awareness on important issues of national interest, such as Jihadi terrorism, false propaganda being spread by the international media with regard to the Jammu-Kashmir boundaries, among the general public. It continually opposes the denigration of Hindu deities, Dharma, Saints, etc. occurring through various mediums through lawful means. In the light of the above stand, the HJS had opposed the drama �Aamhi Paachpute�. It had expressed its objection in writing to the people concerned with the said drama. The HJS is awaiting their reply. Our opposition is at the thought level and we have clarified this from time to time. The HJS has appealed to devout Hindus and those working under its banner, not to resort to any illegal means and extreme measures such as bomb blasts in the process of opposing those tendencies that indulge in denigrating Hindu deities, Holy Scriptures, Saints, etc. Yours sincerely, Dr. Uday Dhuri Mumbai Co-ordinator, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti ------------ --------- --------- --------- --------- - "Shri. The organizations should not therefore, be associated with the accused." The above appeal has been made by Dr. Uday Dhuri, Mumbai district coordinator of HJS and Shri. Abhay Vartak, spokesperson of Sanatan Ashram in a press conference held at Mumbai Marathi Patrakar Parishada. Dr. Dhuri also denied while answering a question that Shri. Nikam and Shri. Gadakari were associated with HJS.
