Solution 2: Add IP Address Manually Another possibility is to add manually the IP address. This solution should be avoided. To be able to connect to Google Talk (gtalk), add to the /etc/hosts file this line: gmail.com 216.239.37.125 But if you are on Microsoft Windows the file is called C:\WINDOWS \system32\drivers\etc\hosts and the line to add is slightly different: 216.239.37.125 gmail.com Rek2-Binaryfreedom-server: > Tue Jul 8 00:09:37 2008 [notice] dns lookup for gmail.com returned 3 > results (ttl 60) > Tue Jul 8 00:09:37 2008 [notice] [8] [64.233.161.83, port=5269] > outgoing connection for 'gmail.com' > Tue Jul 8 00:11:37 2008 [notice] [8] [64.233.161.83, port=5269] > connection to gmail.com timed out > Tue Jul 8 00:11:37 2008 [notice] [8] [64.233.161.83, port=5269] > disconnect, packets: 0 > > I try to telnet and I get > telnet 64.233.161.83 5269 > Trying 64.233.161.83... > > and timeso out.. > so google is blocking us? it was working just fine 2 months a go.. > please fix > our server: > jabber.binaryfreedom.info > our domain > binaryfreedom.info > my JID > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > I have around 2000 users and a lot of them are very annoyed to not be > able to talk with their gtalk friends :-( > please help. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "google-talk-open" group.
