I am ONLY LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WHO HAVE 2+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WITH WEBSPHERE ADMINISTRATION EXPERIENCE (as well as J2EE Development exp). This is a 5+ month contract position in Dallas, TX, Required Skills The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience that includes the following elements: * Java design, development and testing with at least 3 years gained implementing J2EE solutions in large projects. * Use of the IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) family of products, with at least 1 year gained administering, configuring and deploying to WAS. * Significant use of automated development and test tools. * Understanding of Unix system fundamentals. * Effective written and verbal communication skills including the ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with peers on technical solutions. * Familiarity with the best practices related to software development including a thorough understanding of application design patterns. * Ability to identify creative solutions to problems while observing tight time constraints for delivery. * A Bachelor's degree in MIS, computer science or equivalent level of experience. Desired Skills In addition to the required skills listed above, preference will be given to candidates with the following desired skills: * Airline business experience, particularly in the area of flight operations. * Iterative design and development techniques. * Experience developing and deploying web services in a Service Oriented Architecture, JAX WS API, and top-down WISDL development. * Experience using message oriented middleware systems, and experience in publish and subscribe principles and technology, particularly Java Messaging Service (JMS). * Experience with high-performance, high transaction rate systems.
