Contract in NYC 8 months. The description is below for you to look over. Senior level experience in financials, Java, .NET technologies, Trading and FIX PROTOCOL. This is a fill in; they just released the last developer and need someone ASAP who can hit the floor running. They do need to do a F2F interview so keep that in mind. A Spanish speaking person will be a BIG BIG BIG plus. As a Senior Java/.NET FIX Developer, you will support and extend a major application in a trading infrastructure. This role requires frequent interaction with software developers, testers, product managers, helpdesk professionals, and external customers in order to ensure that a quality-trading platform is delivered to users. Essential duties and responsibilities * Support the Company*s Financial Information Exchange (FIX) protocol, with Appia and Ullink as FIX Engines; * Design and implement new functions; * Continuous evaluation and improvement of application performance; * Work with developers and project manager in understanding and implementing new requirements; * Follow company software development processes and standards; * Study new technology and remain technically current.
