Hey All,

We have been working with XMPP (Smack) & GTalk. Things have been good
so far. The bot that would wait for all messages from anywhere to our
bot id & respond appropriately. As we progressed from GTalk client to
GTalk badge. The behaviour seems to be different.

When a remote user clicks on the Badge on our site, the bot gets
notified about the click & also a URL is thrown. Thats the most that
happens. Clicking on the URL requires again authentication &
subsequent SWF Gtalk pop up that can talk to the remote user.

Question, can our XMPP bot can actually interact with the badge
channel? I have a feeling the badge no longer uses the XMPP channel
with the logged in bot user & the SWF remote user client. If badge
does use XMPP channel, why does the bot don't get notified of
subsequent messages after the first join chat url message. Is it
impossible for a BOT to handle chatback badge request?

Please advise.

Thanks,
Gram

PS: This is what the BOT receives when user clicks on the badge &
nothing after this message from the remote user
