I very much doubt that your firewall administrators have blocked port 443, because that is the secure HTTP port. If you can open a console window, type this: telnet jabber.org 5222 That will connect you to the jabber.org server on port 5222. You should see something like this: Trying 208.68.163.220... Connected to jabber.org. Escape character is '^]'. If the port is blocked, you will see a message like this: telnet: Unable to connect to remote host Or somesuch.
