I really hope google brings back the side-by-side scrolling. There was
really no reason to narrow the original text box with all that dead
white area on the right half of the screen now.
About the mouse-over sentence level alignment, I actually find it a
bit annoying. I use the mouse a lot when I read, the same way one uses
a finger when reading a book, and it's a bit distructing when passage
sections change color and text boxes pop-up in the process. I think
this feature is just "trying too hard".
On the positive side, I'd like to complement the "fly-by" live
translation. Sometimes you want to check the translation of several
different words or different varients of a word and this new feature
saves you the trouble of going back and forth from keyboard to mouse.
So good work on that one!
