My grandparents came from Poland between 1900-1900. My grandfather,
Ferdynand Dabrowski/Dombrowski, his last name was changed here in the
U.S.A, He came from a village called, either, Broszkow or Broszka, not
sure of the spelling, but am told it was near Warsaw, Poland, and he
was born May 30, 1875, and live in Gary, Indiana, until he passed away
1954. My grandmother, Maryanna Dabrowski/Dombrowski, came from a
village called Piotrowice, Poland, and was born July 10, 1887, and she
live also, in Gary, Indiana, U.S.A. until she passed away, also, 1954.
This is all the information I have. On a visit to Poland, I checked
with all the area priest, at their churchs, and they found nothing.
They said, if could be since, they had wars, fires, and lost records.
What I am looking for is all and any information, on both when they
lived in Poland. Like family, the kind of work they did, and all and
anything more.
Grandmother name from home was Grabowski, and I did hear, she could
have had family in Detorit, Michigan, U.S.A., but am unable to find
anything more.
