It does in a great many languages. French, German, Spanish, Arabic.
English is exceptional in not having any king of gender agreement. On
English - French I have found a complete disregard of agreement.

Google Translate does not have any grammatical understanding. I can
accept Arab anger about the Palestinian who was killed by a settler.
All this however stems from one basic thing. A lack of grammatical
understanding and a complete lack of checking of what is possible in a
particular language.
