I love this feature and it's why Google MT and Firefox is my combo of
choice and its what I ask my researchers to use. If you don't want the
original text to copy use IExplorer as your browser.

Josh, Please do not completely do away with this feature. A toggle for
copy with original or w/o would be perfect, but I can tell you, having
the original text with the translation beats the crap out of having to
sift through the original text at the end of a document to see what
the translation should have been. Over the years I've learned how many
phrases may incorrectly translate, but it took a lot of time sifting
through the original test to find the combo. Having the original right
next to the translation really speeds up the process.
