I have looked everywhere for the proper place to submit this information and have yet to find one. It seems like Google dictionary is the unloved stepchild of Google's many services, it's neither mentioned anywhere officially nor does anything link to it. When it unexpectedly went down and was redirecting to Google Translate for a while recently there was no official word on the matter. It's a shame because it's such a wonderful tool.
I have been using the Korean <> English dictionary for a while now and have discovered what seems to be a mistake in the definition for the word "칡". The dictionary defines it as "an arrowroot" however I believe 칡 is actually the root of the unrelated kudzu plant. Kudzu is sometimes referred to as "Japanese arrowroot" probably accounting for the confusion. Searching the dictionary English > Korean for "kudzu" does turn up "칡" as the definition, so it appears the mistake is only one way. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "General" group.
