I was quite happy when Google Translate added "Read phonetically" option to display phonetics below the input field. This is now just *one step *away from perfection. Here's the scenario: when reviewing a translation from Chinese to English, I hover over a word in the English to see the Chinese dynamically highlighted and try to improve the translation. If I'm unfamiliar with a particular Chinese character, I look below and find it in the phonetic system so I can add it to my learning deck. But the phonetic form is not highlighted, even though both the English and Chinese are. Adding highlighting to the phonetics (a tiny feature) would add a lot of practical utility.
