It will not work on your data source if you haven't implemented it. The good news are that if you will use the new open source java library (see the "what's new" section on the docs), or just look at the code there, you will see how this is done, and then you can implement your own code.It should be activated when the users specifies tqx=out:csv
Have a look at the library to see how to deal with content type headers and so on.
