If you look at Google Finance (http://www.google.com/finance? client=ob&q=NASDAQ:GOOG), the timeline isn't continuous, because the price only changes from 9:30 to 16:00 and only on weekdays.
As I try to display amount of done work I need to do similar thing but don't know how.
