Hi Grenade, The chart gallery in the Google Visualization API is not open code. However, I think your suggestions are great and we have registered them for our future development plans. A partial solution might be found in the experimental GraphViz charts<http://code.google.com/apis/chart/docs/gallery/graphviz.html>(although they are images charts and suffer for size limitations).
