There is no global limit enforced all over. There might be specific data sources that will limit the number of returned rows. Nevertheless, see that not as a limit but rather as a hint for the fact that a single chart cannot effectively display 10k of data points. Better if the data is filtered, aggregated, sampled or else to a reasonable meaningful scale, before it is visualized by the chart.
