You can't do that with an AnnotatedTimeline chart, but you can do it with a regular LineChart. Throw in a ChartRangeFilter and you have 95% of the functionality of an AnnotatedTimeline. Here's an example: http://jsfiddle.net/asgallant/9qZfN/
