Since every protocol needs an acronym, umm... WAVE's Acronym is Very Empty. (At least it doesn't lie like "XNA is Not an Acronym.")
But seriously... I too look forward to Wave being mainstream, although I think that'll be a *very* future version of Thunderbird.
