Ah, crap, I had thought checked for this, but I had mistakenly introduced a 2nd variable: source level. In both devmode/production, GWT master works fine with "-sourceLevel 1.7", but fails with those Guava errors with "-sourceLevel 1.8". Maybe I'll go try and build a 1.8 version of Guava and see if the issue is in Guava itself?
