i don't think reading csv files is the kind of thing that gwt does - or should do. In one of my projects, I use the open source java library OpenCSV - http://opencsv.sourceforge.net/
Not sure if this will meet your exact needs but it works for me. Once you've parsed the files, you can focus on rendering them with gwt. cheers.
