Hi, For security issue, you couldn't launch application from a browser. If you want to do that, you have to pass through an ActiveX control (IE) or a chrome app (FF) for example, but there is no portable solution, and it is probably a bad idea to permit it...
Maybe the best way to dot that is to develop a Java applet which could, with a correct java.policy, execute local file.
